Joanie Quinn, comedian and writer
(on Time Out finishing out the season and it's run with this May 11th show):
"Time Out got me writing again after a 20 year hiatus which included four kids and a husband ... and they all provide me plenty of material for stand up comedy. Having Time Out as a creative outlet has been a Godsend - the group of women are amazing, and I learned a lot. My performance improved and my confidence grew - I am now going to make my debut at Harvey's Comedy Club this coming May 17-20th, opening and hosting the 7 shows that weekend! This would not have been possible without the support and success of the Time Out Show. I now have a website and a line of ‘LIVE TIRED’ merchandise that I created, motivated by my participation in Time Out. I began producing our Open Mic in SW Portland (at O'Connors in Multnomah Village), which I will continue to present without the Time Out name.
