All About Joanie
JOANIE QUINN BIO
Joanie Quinn is a rainbow haired, menopause mom of four kids, who worked on comedy sitcoms in Hollywood before she became a breeder in Oregon. She's been saving up for her kid's therapy, one performance at a time. Joanie regularly produces & performs in Portland's comedy show "Spilt Milk: you'll laugh til you cry!”, Harvey's Comedy Club, and has appeared at Helium Comedy Club and The Legendary Ice House in Pasadena, California. Joanie performed in the "All Jane, No Dick" Comedy Festival, the Idaho Laugh Fest, the San Francisco Mutiny Radio Comedy Fest, Eugene's Women's Comedy Fest, and the Burbank Comedy Festival.
"I swore I wouldn't care about a clean floor the way my Mother did... and with the help of my four children, I have reached that goal."
- Joanie Quinn
Joanie Quinn is a college graduate making absolutely no use of her degree in Television Writing from Loyola Marymount University. She spent years working in Hollywood, from old game shows, to TBS productions "Rocky Road" and "Safe At Home". Joanie worked with Michael Jacobs Productions on "My Two Dads" and the Disney/Henson Production "Dinosaurs" as a Script Goddess. This involved staying up all night with sleepy, but funny, writers... just another experience that in some small way prepared her for sleepless nights with her own babies someday...
Following her dreamy husband to dreary Portland in 1991 (please know that the writer of this short autobiography does not fully share this opinion of Portland) she added Preschool Teacher, Studio Photographer, Women's retreat author, Rose Festival Clown, Foster/Adoptive Mom, and now Stand Up Comedienne to her pile of laundry.
